Leonid Meteors and the Big Dipper
Original caption: Spectacular meteors during a Leonid meteor shower, centered on Ursa Major, also known as the Big Dipper. The Leonids are a prolific meteor shower associated with the comet Tempel-Tuttle. They get their name from the location of their radiant (i.e., the point in the sky where the meteors seem to originate or radiate from) in the constellation Leo.
